During The Italian innovation event the INFN, in collaboration with MAECI (Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale), presented its work on MICADO Project.
MICADO Project is the reference EU Project for Nuclear Waste Characterization & Digitization coordinated by CAEN and in collaboration with key Italian partners : ENEA, INFN and SOGIN
For the MICADO Project, INFN is working on the long term monitoring grid: a system for the online real-time monitoring of radioactive waste repositories based on two different technological solutions: the “SciFi” gamma ray monitoring sensor and the “SiLiF” neutron monitoring sensor.
