It was a great pleasure to participate to the IAEA International Conference on Radioactive Waste Management: Solutions for a Sustainable Future with the MICADO project. We had the opportunity to show to the audience what MICADO intends to bring to the community and the results achieved so far.
This was done together with the European Commission (EC) and with our colleagues representing SHARE, EURAD and PREDIS projects in a side event session organized by the EC, where we presented the EURATOM efforts on Research & Innovation in the field of Radioactive Waste Management for the benefit of the international community.
A lot of key points have been touched by the panelists and a many interesting questions have been answered during the Q&A.
The importance of digitization of the nuclear waste characterization process was a central topic of the discussion, confirming that our objectives are perfectly aligned with the end-users needs of the nuclear community.
